A heads-up, not a markdown
Last tables is one of the five ways to fill your venue in Marketing, alongside promotions, events, prize draws and what's new. It's for letting people know you still have tables on a given day, at given times. There's no discount and no promotion, and your booking page doesn't change
The screen puts it bluntly: got tables left on a given day? Announce it on social. No discounts or promotions: your booking page doesn't change, it's just an excuse to post
Why no discount
A last-minute discount has two costs you don't see on day one. First, it also undercharges people who were going to book anyway. Second, it teaches your guests that waiting pays. And a guest who waits is a table you can't count on
Besides, what's missing is often not a lower price but the word getting out. Your followers assume you're full on a Thursday, or it simply doesn't occur to them there's room tonight. A clear heads-up with a booking link solves exactly that. The price doesn't move: what changes is that your followers find out
For hours that are always slow, the tool is a different one: the promotion, planned on fixed days and times with a table cap. Last tables is for a specific day: today, tomorrow, Saturday at 22:00
Three questions and you're done
In Marketing › Plan › Last tables, the guide asks three questions. Which day? Which times do you want to fill?, showing how many tables are still free at each time. And How many tables do you say?, with three answers: The real number, I'll set it or No number
That third question is there for a reason. Saying ‘we have three tables left’ nudges people to book, but the number has to be true. The real number posts what your diary shows. I'll set it lets you write another figure. No number says there are tables left without committing to a figure
If you're in a rush, tell Slinky, your AI assistant, in one sentence: ‘I've got tables at 21:00 tonight’ or ‘Saturday, 3 tables at 22:00’. Slinky answers the three questions and you check them. When you're done, press Prepare the post
Example · Casa Marlen, a made-up venue in Barcelona, sees on Thursday morning that 21:00 and 21:30 are still free. It picks Thursday, ticks those two times and goes for No number. Omakasia prepares the post, ready to upload
What happens next
We prepare the posts for your socials, with your photos and the booking link. You, or your agency or your community manager, post them. The heads-up also appears on your public listing, alongside your menu, opening hours, events and promotions
Every post carries its own link. So under What it brought in you see how many bookings and guests that heads-up brought. If a Last tables Thursday brings you four bookings at full price, you've filled the room without giving anything away
What stays the same
Your prices, your menu and your booking page stay exactly as they were. Anyone who books from a Last tables post books like any other guest. That protects your brand too: you don't become the place people only go to when there's a deal on. And your team has nothing to apply at the till, because there are no conditions to remember
