Slinky, your AI assistant
You tell it. It gets it done
It knows your venue inside out and works with you. Always with your OK
It doesn't answer from memory. It looks at your services, your opening hours, your promotions and your bookings
Before changing anything, it shows you what it's going to do. If you don't confirm, nothing happens
Across the whole suite, in a bubble. You write to it in your own words
Slinky works for you. You talk to your guests
It faces inwards: it takes work off your plate. The relationship with your guest stays yours
In detail
What Slinky does
Slinky, your AI assistant, is there across the whole suite and comes with every module. You ask in your own words, by speaking or typing. It shows you what it's going to do, and only does it once you confirm
It prepares, you confirm
Before touching anything, Slinky shows you the plan. Every plan has a colour: green if it can be undone and affects no one, amber if it touches guests who have already booked, red if there's no going back. On red, you have to type a word to confirm. If you don't confirm, nothing happens
Close and open days and hours
A breakdown, a bank holiday, a private event: one sentence does it. ‘Close tomorrow's bookings’, ‘close 20:00 on Friday’, ‘open on Sunday’. Slinky doesn't change your weekly opening hours, durations or time slots: it takes you to Services and time slots
Move and cancel bookings
It changes a booking's table, time or status. It cancels a specific booking and lets the guest know, or cancels a whole day's bookings in bulk and lets everyone know: ‘cancel all Friday's bookings and notify the guests’. It shows you first who's affected
Help with promotions and events
In the guides for promotions, events, last tables and prize draws, the With Slinky tab fills in the questions from a single sentence. You review it and tap Save. It spares you the form, not the decision
Answers your questions about the app
How to do something, on which screen and with which button: opening hours, deposits, why no times are showing, tables and floor plan, promotions, prize draws, collaborators or month-end close. It answers with the path and a Go to … button that takes you to that screen. It gets this from the suite's manual. What it doesn't know, it says
It knows your venue
It doesn't answer from memory: it looks at your tables, your bookings and your venue's set-up. If something isn't working, that's where it starts: whether that day is a special date, whether the time slot is blocked or whether the promotion is switched off. Figures come only from your own data
It works for you, not your guests
Slinky faces inwards: it takes work off your plate and your team's. It doesn't talk to your guests. The relationship with your guest stays yours
What it won't do, and what gets recorded
Slinky doesn't improvise: it only does what's on its list. Tables, weekly opening hours, booking types, deposits and promotions are changed on their own screen, and Slinky takes you there; in Marketing it explains, but doesn't run draws, close the month or send emails. Everything it does goes into its Record, with who asked and when. Anything you find missing, it notes down as a suggestion
Frequently asked questions
What is Slinky?
Slinky is Omakasia's AI assistant. It's there across the whole suite, and you speak or type to it in your own words. It handles day-to-day tasks, like closing a day or moving a booking, and answers your questions about how the app works. It always shows you what it's going to do before touching anything
Do I pay extra for Slinky?
No. Slinky comes with every Omakasia module, whichever you choose. Separately, there's Slinky Bookkeeper, an optional ERP module that picks up the invoices in your inbox and gets them ready for you; it's priced by volume
Does Slinky talk to my guests?
No. Slinky works for you and your team, inside Omakasia. It doesn't reply to your guests or speak on your behalf. The relationship with your guests stays yours
Can Slinky change things without my permission?
No. Before touching anything it shows you the plan, colour-coded by what it affects, and only acts if you confirm. If something can't be undone, it asks you to type a word to confirm. If you don't confirm, nothing happens
What can Slinky do with my bookings?
Close a whole day or a single hour and open them again. Change a booking's table, time or status. Cancel a booking and let the guest know, or cancel a whole day's bookings in bulk and let everyone know
What doesn't Slinky do?
It only does what's on its list. Floor plan and tables, weekly opening hours, booking types, deposits and promotions are changed on their own screen, with its Save button, and Slinky takes you there. In Marketing it explains and takes you there, but doesn't run draws, close the month or send emails. Ask for something that's not on its list and it tells you so, and offers to note it down as a suggestion
Can I speak to Slinky or do I have to type?
Both. You can dictate or type in your own words, with no special commands. For example: ‘close tomorrow's bookings’ or ‘why aren't any times showing for Friday?’
Can I trust what Slinky tells me?
It answers from the suite's manual and your venue's own data. Before changing anything it shows you what it's about to do and waits for your OK. And if an answer isn't right, you flag it and it's recorded
Is there a record of what Slinky does?
Yes. Everything it does goes into its Record, with who asked and when. Questions are kept in Previous queries, with the date, who asked, the answer and what it did. If an answer is wrong, the this is wrong link stops the conversation and records it
What if I need something Omakasia doesn't do?
Tell Slinky. If it's an improvement, it notes it down as a suggestion. If you want something just for your venue, the request starts with Slinky and shaping it costs nothing; if you want it built, you see a fixed price before we start
